Impact Team
The SEL · Social Emotional Learning Impact Team
Impact Teams are not committees. Each team owns a Curriculum or Culture area and runs against an Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) reviewed termly by the SLT.
The team meets monthly using the Team Initiated Problem Solving (TIPS) model, and aligns its work to the school’s wider Annual Implementation Plan.
Composition
Every Impact Team at Cosmos Primary is built from the same mix of voices — so no team is led by any single perspective.
| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Team Lead — Early Years | Sets direction for the team across EY, coaches EY educators, liaises with SLT for resources. |
| Team Lead — Key Stage | Sets direction across KS1/KS2, coaches educators, bridges communication to the SLT. |
| Data Lead | Manages and analyses data relevant to the team’s objectives; presents data to inform decisions. |
| Educators | The backbone of every team — classroom expertise and year-group perspectives. |
| Senior Leadership Team Member | Provides budget, time, resources, and a route to leadership decisions. |
| Parent / Student Members (future) | Parent and student members will be inducted into Impact Teams in time, making the team genuinely collaborative. |
