The heart of the school

Welcome to the Learnarium.

Not a library. Not a lab. A multi-zonal community learning centre. Built on the belief that life is learning, and learning is for everyone.

Learnarium live

A living window into reading, events, zones, and student voice.

The public page can surface real Learnarium activity where data is connected, and clearly mark future streams as they come online.

Our philosophy

Life is Learning.

The Learnarium exists to foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning — a flexible, student-centred environment where exploration, collaboration, and innovation thrive.

Nine zones, one space

Every child finds a corner that fits.

The Learnarium is divided into nine zones — each with its own purpose, programmes, and resources, and each flexible enough to flex for whatever a class, club, or curious child needs next.

  • Exploration Zone

The STEM lab — hands-on science, robotics, and maker activities.

  • Sustainability Studio

Environmental education, gardening, recycling projects, and the S.A.V.E. programme.

  • Literacy Lounge

Book clubs, author visits, writing workshops, and the 100 Book Challenge.

  • Numeracy Nook

Maths games, Olympiads, finance workshops — the M.A.S.T.E.R programme’s home base.

  • Creative Corner

Art exhibitions, craft workshops, and drama — where children make things with their hands.

  • Discussion Dome

Debates, public speaking, current events — the S.P.E.A.K. programme in action.

  • AI/Tech Hub

Coding clubs, digital design, and tech talks — Computing lives here.

  • Games Groove

Board games, chess club, and logic games — learning disguised as play.

  • Open Stage

The student talent showcase — music, dance, spoken word, and anything a child is brave enough to share.

What the Learnarium runs

Programmes that keep the space alive.

Beyond daily open hours, the Learnarium runs a year-round calendar of reading challenges, showcases, clubs, and community events.

  • 100 Book Challenge

Every student is invited to read 100 books across the year. Termly progress is visible to the whole school — including a live bar-chart race on campus displays.

  • Learnarium Open Stage

A recurring student talent showcase — every child can step up and be heard.

  • Events & Workshops

Author visits, guest speakers, maker weeks, and seasonal showcases that bring parents and the wider community into the school.

  • Koha Library Catalogue

A full school library system — check-in/check-out, reservations, and a growing catalogue of books in English, Telugu, Hindi, and beyond.

  • Volunteer & Parent Helpers

Parents and senior students volunteer in the Learnarium — shelving, reading buddies, event support. The space belongs to the community, not just the staff.

Who runs it.

The Learnarium is led by the Learning Experiences Curator (LEC), supported by the Librarian and by zone leads who take charge of individual spaces. They work like an Impact Team — with their own Annual Implementation Plan, weekly meetings, and a shared commitment to keeping the space surprising, safe, and student-centred.

How students use it.

The Learnarium runs on the S.T.A.R. expectations: Strive, Take responsibility, Always work together, Respect. Children come in with a class, a club, a reading reservation, or simply a question. They leave with a book, a prototype, a poem, or a new idea.
