Home learning
The tools we build ourselves.
Digital teaching tools, designed by our own educators, used in lessons at Cosmos. With a growing list open to families at home.
The tools open to you.
Reading & Writing
Literacy tools.
Reading, phonics, spelling, morphology — our R.E.A.D. and Write Right programmes, in the browser.
Learnarium
The library. A 100 Book Challenge, reading leaderboards, class averages, and a weekly author spot. Live leaderboard visible on the site.
Sound Wall
Our sound wall — IPA notation, audio, a Word Builder, a Word Explorer, 110+ Twinkl card images. Used across the phonics programme.
Heart Words
Interactive explorer for the tricky high-frequency words every early reader needs in their heart — 50+ CEW words enriched.
Word Wizards
A 10,000-word vocabulary corpus organised into Marzano clusters, with four teaching tools — Word Card, Frayer Model, Word Lab, and Moderation.
Morphology Mavericks
Structured Word Inquiry across 169 morphemes in 24 families, EYFS–Y6 — so children decode and spell any new word.
Spell Bee
960 spelling words across EY2–Y6, four demands per word, twelve class pages, and a termly whole-school contest.
Oracy & language
Speaking tools.
Designed by our S.P.E.A.K. team for talk, sentence structure, and oral reporting.
Colourful Semantics
A visual tool for building sentences — who, what doing, what, where. Powered by ARASAAC pictograms and open to families at home.
Culture & wellbeing
The daily routine.
A.I.M. for the S.T.A.R.s runs on a small set of tools children use every morning.
Mood Meter
Children name how they feel — in colour, in word, and on a four-quadrant chart. The opening of every Morning Meeting.
S.T.A.R. Matrix
What S.T.A.R. behaviour looks like — in the classroom, playground, bus, and library. The anchor for every choice.
Meta-Meter
A short reflection after lessons — what worked, what didn’t, what I’ll try next. Metacognition, daily.
Video
Cosmos Play.
Our own learning video platform — 504 videos across 11 series, playlist-aware, family-safe.
Cosmos Play
OTT video library of learning content created and curated by Cosmos educators. Used in classrooms and at home.
Most of our tools live inside the Cosmos One staff platform, so teachers can record progress and share work with colleagues. A few are open to parents at home right now; the rest are available by request.
If you’d like access to a specific tool for home use, email hello@cosmosprimary.com and we’ll arrange a short walkthrough with your child’s class teacher.
