Five steps
From enquiry to offer.
Admissions are first-come, first-served — subject to seat availability in the year group.
Enquire
Submit the enquiry form or email admissions@cosmosprimary.com. Tell us your child’s year group and a short note about them. We’ll respond within two working days.
Visit
A campus walk-through during a regular school day — see classrooms in session, the Learnarium, and meet a senior leader. Not a curated open-house version.
Meet & assess
An interview with you and your child, plus a placement assessment in three areas (academic, social-emotional, and learning-support needs). The assessment is for placement, not ranking.
Panel decision
The Admissions Panel — our Senior and Middle Leadership Team — review the assessment, your application, and the conversation, and make a final decision together.
Offer & enrol
We notify you of the decision. Successful families confirm acceptance, complete documentation, and start in the next available term.
How we assess
Three placement components.
The assessment helps us place your child in the year group and section where they’ll be supported and stretched. It is not a competitive entrance test.
Academic
A short diagnostic in literacy and numeracy, plus a look at any previous school records you share. We meet your child where they are.
Social-emotional
Observation during the interview and group activities, framed by the CASEL competencies — self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships, responsible decision-making.
Learning-support needs
If your child has a learning difference or has been identified for SEN, we ask for documentation so we can plan the right support. The aim is to confirm we can serve your child well — not to gatekeep.
When to apply
Admission windows by year group.
The academic year starts in mid-June. Each grade has two sections, with a maximum capacity of 26 students per section.

Seats can free up in any year group through the year. If a grade is full, we add you to the waitlist and notify you the same day a seat opens. Confirmation must be returned within the time frame stated in the offer.
What to bring
Documents we need.
At enquiry stage you only need the application form. The rest are required at offer-acceptance.
- Completed application form
- Birth certificate (photocopy)
- Immunisation records
- Aadhaar card (proof of residence)
- Transfer certificate (if applicable)
- Previous school records (if applicable)
**No conditional admissions.** We don’t hold seats on partial offers. The decision the Admissions Panel makes is final — and clear.
**No parent-initiated grade jumps.** Advanced placement is rare and is initiated by our educational team based on observed exceptional performance, then evaluated by the Panel.
**A rejection is not a verdict on your child.** Cosmos is a limited-strength school with two sections per grade. Our process is competitive only because seats are finite. We encourage families to consider re-applying when seats open in later windows.
