M.A.S.T.E.R.

Mathematics Advancement through Strategic Thinking, Exploration and Reasoning.

M.A.S.T.E.R. is the mastery-maths programme that sits alongside the Cambridge Primary Maths curriculum. It is built on three well-evidenced platforms — Numbersense Maths for number understanding, Numbots for subitising and mental fluency, and Times Tables Rock Stars for multiplication recall.

Children move through concrete, pictorial, and abstract representations for every concept. We assess daily in small ways and termly in big ones. Interventions are light and fast, not heavy and slow.

The three platforms

What sits under M.A.S.T.E.R.

Three digital platforms plus the Cambridge framework — children see the same concepts in four ways.

  • Numbersense Maths

    Building number sense — counting principles, part-whole relationships, composing and decomposing. The foundation for everything else.

  • Numbots

    Subitising, addition and subtraction fluency — a gamified platform that children love and play at home too.

  • Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS)

    Multiplication and division fact fluency. Daily practice, school-wide leaderboards, and rock-band personas that children build themselves.

  • Cambridge Primary Maths

    The core curriculum — problem-solving, reasoning, and deep understanding across number, geometry, measurement, statistics, and algebra.
